Has Santa ever come and really left only a lump of coal? He's thinking about it at the Peay house. Somebody is on Santa's naughty list. Somebody has forgotten how to be nice. Somebody might be getting NOTHING for Christmas. And Somebody, when threatened with the lump of coal, said, "I can start a fire with that coal."
(But he's SO cute and he's so funny! What can you do?)

ok, seriously he said that?! Did you die laughing right in front of him? Because I'm pretty sure I would have! Wow...can't wait to have kids like me who have big sarcastic mouths (yikes).
Have you seen the "Elf on a shelf" book? It is a little elf that comes with a book and the elf goes home to Santa each night to report on the kids behavior and arrives back in the morning in a different spot (that th kids have to find). It might work! I also have to tell you that I have one of those - Lexie. I went into pre-school the other day and Lexie was in the corner crying. She had just hit her friend in the eye. When the teacher asked her why Lexie said "because I wanted to". Or when I came out the other day and had showered but not done my make-up she says - you don't look very pretty mommy. The best is when she was mad and said "I hate you and your skirt is ugly!" She was 2 1/2. I swear she might get coal. We finally resorted to all out bribery and started the sticker chart. If she had come first I may have stopped at one. :)
I think my little Jacob may be like this when he can really talk! For now he resorts to hitting, biting and screaming. Oh what fun! I guess I'm in for it. I hope Santa finds his way to your house.
I loved your conversation with Maddox and Santa today. I did the same thing this morning...except it was poop. looks like none of the Davies preschoolers are getting toys for Christmas.
I love it! ha ha ha. I think he's learned his mother's optimism. Every time I come to your blog, I think about filling MY life with sunshine. Of course, the cold front has brought us snow and ice and I'm just dreaming about the warm sun right now.
Hey Misha! I've been thinking about you ever since the famous "Hadley Peay" was mentioned in conference. I just KNEW that he had to be talking about your Hadley. So I finally found the email where you gave me your blog address and am so glad that I've found you. Your kids look so sweet (even when they're excited about coal). I hope everything is going well for you.
