I realized that I have been busy being Bah.
Humbug, that is. (Do you know I actually told our kids that I was running away on Wednesday night on the way to meet you at the restaurant for your birthday dinner? I told them that the only person in our house that listened to me was the dog. I sounded more like my mother than I ever have before.)
Something going on every day, every night, running here and there. And I guess I missed what really mattered.
YOU!

Happy birthday to the love of my life. You are getting old now. You aren't quite old enough to dress the way you do or listen to the music you like...but you're getting there, Old Man. My old man.
I heard you in here checking my blog tonight. I heard the same old songs from my playlist that I really should update but haven't. Nothing new on here, right? No birthday wish for you. That's not cool. Lincoln didn't get one either. So, belatedly, happy birthday to Lincoln "Nino" Peay, too! You are all 2, all the time. And, unlike your father, you DO act your age. I'm not loving it. You may even be the reason I threatened to run away. Who gets into the kitchen sink with all of their clothes on? That's just not normal. You need to stop doing that, Nino.
Anyhow, happy birthday, Guys!And, sorry...
I'm not running away. I think I'll stay, for now.

Hey, when you do run off, invite me with you! I can almost guarantee that we'll be back. Until then....hang in there.
Lots of love, Bridget
I had a less-than-2-year-old that climbed into the sink too! It was only the beginning. And now that he just turned 5, it comes out in his amazing big personality how up-and-going he is all the time. I'm excited for you! And doesn't Christmas time just tend to bring out the opposite it's supposed to in the family? We have been on guard this year, because I remember getting to Christmas week, and wanting to take all the presents to a compactor because no one deserved even one. It was me, and how busy I was... it's always me - It's not their fault. And I know I didn't help you! Good luck! Love ya.
fun to see updated pics of your little ones...they are HUGE! I think we'll always have the "I'm married to a man who's aspiring to be an OLD man" until they get to be old men. Hope you're having a good holiday!
Such a sweet picture of you and Stewart! Happy Birthday to Lincoln and Stewart! (PS: I'm glad I'm not alone in having those "runaway" days!) Love, Kelly
i said that too the other day, and Chet took that as his que to come and help me put the kids to bed...now i know the magic words!
