Family Night on Monday... I taught the kids one of my favorite games when I was a kid. They loved it so we decided to play again last night.
Hadley and Maddox both wanted to be a coconut...then a compromise was reached.
"I'm a banana!" Maddox shouted. "I'm a banana and I shoot lasers out of my bum."
I was a speechless strawberry (that almost fell off the couch laughing).

Never - now I think my childhood may have been deprived!
This game was my MOST favorite game we played when visiting my MOST favorite cousins! How do you play again? I just remember sitting on the couch and then everyone gets up and moves really fast and laughing a lot!

Okay, each person chooses a fruit. Like musical chairs...there aren't enough spaces for all. The person without a seat calls out the names of 2 fruits who have to get up and switch places. The caller tries to steal one of those places. Or, the caller can say "Fruit basket tipped over" and everyone has to get up and switch. It is really fun, especially for kiddos. It's easy for them to play. Even 2 year old Lincoln got in on the fun!
Ha Ha! I was confused. Thanks for the explanation. We just called it fruit basket growing up. Tennessee actually had to adopt a law that all students need 90 minutes of physical activity per week (outside of gym class). So all classes were required by LAW to do stuff. We played fruit basket (but with spanish vocab, like colors and animals). They got a kick out of it.
I must have had a deprived childhood because I have NEVER heard of that game! Now I know what we are doing today.....:)
